Building a Stronger Community in Uncertain Times
Weight Watchers – "Hero for a Kilo" Campaign
Losing weight isn’t just a personal journey—it’s a shared experience. The Weight Watchers community thrives on mutual support, encouragement, and shared success stories. However, despite the strong foundation of engagement, Weight Watcher struggled to keep its community consistently active. While content was being shared, follow-up and deeper interaction were lacking, leading to a missed opportunity to remain top-of-mind for their audience.

To position Weight Watchers as a top-of-mind brand in its audience’s daily life, we developed a social-first campaign that would:
-
Increase brand awareness through relatable, inspiring content
-
Strengthen emotional connections within the Weight Watchers community
-
Encourage word-of-mouth advocacy, turning members into brand ambassadors
More Than a Brand – A Daily Motivator
To reinforce Weight Watcher’s role as a trusted guide and motivator, we needed a concept that didn’t just generate content but sustained long-term engagement, fostering meaningful connections with members. At the heart of the campaign was a simple yet powerful message: "Be a Hero. Hero for a Kilo."
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the symbolism of superheroes gained cultural relevance. We leveraged this theme to spotlight the real-life heroes within the Weight Watcher community – the women who, despite busy schedules, personal challenges, and daily responsibilities, still find the time and energy to prioritize their health.
The busy mom who squeezes in a workout between homeschooling and meal prep – she’s a hero.
The independent businesswoman who balances a demanding career while preparing healthy homemade meals – she’s a hero.
Every woman who stays committed to her goals, even when life gets overwhelming – she’s a hero.
